We arrived last night. Our plane landed at around 8:30 P.M. It was nice to have our families there to greet us. It was a great end to our trip. We were all very tired and ready to sleep. I have noticed that I am not who I was when I first left. I don't really know how I have changed exactly. I know that I am a lot more grateful for the luxuries that I enjoy here in the US such as being able to drink tap water, being able to eat just about anything I want when ever I want, and having so many forms of entertainment. I think that may be part of my change, especially the last one. I don't really realize how much entertainment affects me and others. When I went to the Mexican church last Sunday, the people didn't seem to really need much. They weren’t expecting it to be entertainment. They were there because they loved God and wanted to praise Him. I hope that I never fall back in to the temptation of wanting church to be entertaining. That is one thing that I definitely want to keep from this trip. I am glad that I am home and with my family and friends again. Thank you to everyone who was praying for us. It really made a difference. Goodbye for now.
God Bless,
Stephen

Welcome home, Team!
I just spoke with Suzan and she filled me in on the events of this past week, and told me what an awesome team you are! Glad you're all home safe & sound. Just know that your experience in Oaxaca didn't end when you stepped off the plane. You will continue to change as you reflect on your experience and learn out how God wants to use it in your life to glorify Him.
If you need to talk about your experience, Suzan & Arlene would be happy to listen, and I would too, so call if you need to debrief.
Thank you so much for serving Christ by serving "the least of these" in His name. Each & every one of you is a true blessing to God, and a blessing to the people of Oaxaca.
In His Service,
~Brenda Porter (your MTI Team Coordinator)
Thank you Stephen and team for going and making a difference in these people's lives. When you say that you've changed I'm reminded of Brandon Heath's
song "I am not who I was".
Thanks... Ron
Some of you might not know me. Stephen does, and I know Allie does. I've been to NACC a few times.
Wow. It's great what you guys did. It must have been so cool to have had that opportunity. I'm glad you guys put up a blog so I could see how it went.
What Ron was saying about that song by Brandon Heath: I'm not Who I Was. That does remind me of that too. Only Stephen was a great guy to begin with; God just improved on him. It's amazing how God can use our experiences not only to help others, but to improve our own lives.
